| This album is dedicated to my greatest legacy and my most precious gifts, my children.  It is my desire to leave to my posterity, through my music, the faith I have that God is our Eternal Father and that Jesus Christ is our Savior.  This knowledge is the only way to find true and everlasting happiness in this brief mortal existence here on earth. This project is my gift of great thanks to a loving God, for the “school” of life here on this earth.   All of life’s lessons have deepened my understanding of the eternities of joy that await those who turn their will over to God.  Only then will we find within ourselves the courage to follow the Spirit in ALL things. I know that by following our Savior, Jesus Christ’s example we will find His joy within us.  His love within us, and hear His voice our own; helping us to serve others as Christ has served us.  By our Savior’s infinite atonement, He has paid the price for each of our mistakes and judgments, and by us understanding this and accepting His free gift to us we become more able to forgive others.    He heals our souls, not just from sin, but form pain, hurt, disappointment and sorrow – which is caused not only by others, but also by our own harsh self-judgment.  I chose each of these songs as my simple gift of love to praise Him, who gives me daily hope and the courage to keep walking forward. I thank all those who have blessed me so abundantly through this project.  As one of my favorite scriptures tells us:  “If ye touch but one soul, how great shall be your joy.”   I was touched by those who put their hearts, hopes, and joy into creating this work.  – Marie Osmond My sincere thanks: To Jerry Williams – For your musical insights and the passion in you that is put into every one of your magnificent arrangements.  Thank you too for the vision you have gave me in doing this project. To Cliff Maag – For your impeccable standards of quality and your unwavering devotion to me on this project.   And to Ryan, thank you as well, for all your hard work with the vocals.  The apple doesn’t fall very far from the tree.   To Dave Reitzos – What an honor to work with you.  Thank you so much for all the late night hours you spent making sure that everything sounded perfect!   To Tyler Castleton – I greatly appreciate all that you have done to make sure this project became a reality. To Jimmy Osmond – For all the ways you have had my back and continue to encourage me to own my life.   Thank you, my sweet brother.  I love you. To Marcia Wilkie – For helping me write my thoughts down on paper.  I wish I could sing them but, even then, I think they’d still come out dyslexic :)  That’s why I’m blessed to have you!  Thank you for always believing in me and for being such a great friend and eternal sister to me! To Barbara Smith-Davis – Your vocal coaching gave me the courage to sing in every genre and style.   You are a gifted teacher and I will forever be grateful with every note sung.    The proceeds of this album will be donated to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.  This charity, which I co-founded in 1982, helps 170 hospitals throughout North America provide world-class, kid-size care to millions of children each year.  I give this donation as a gift of love and hope for the future of our children. (100% of all donations given to CMN go to the children.)   |
