Five Star Osmonds
Healthy Kids International
by Lindsay Tibando
July 8, 2011

It all started in January 1976 when Donny and Marie Osmond first took the stage for their variety show and became the youngest entertainers in TV history. Fast forward to present day and the Osmonds are still at it, bringing their Vegas-style show to Toronto with a special night in support of SickKids. The duo stopped by SickKids yesterday to meet patients, sign autographs and have some fun.

“I'm so thrilled to do this show tonight knowing that it'll benefit children,” Marie said. Marie is one of the co-founders of the Children's Miracle Network, a group of 170 hospitals across North America dedicated to helping sick and injured children in their local community. “We have to remember all these sick kids who are in the rooms here,” Donny added.
While at SickKids, the duo met Madison Scott who shared her cancer survivor story with them and even sang ‘Any Dream Will Do’ from Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat.

After the reception it was off to the Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts. The nearly sold-out crowd was on its feet throughout the show, singing, dancing and cheering. The show was sponsored by TD Bank Group.

Thank you Donny and Marie for sharing your incredible gifts and generous spirit while supporting our patients at SickKids. We are truly grateful!
