David Osmond, one of the sons of Alan Osmond, will perform at the SCERA Center for the Arts Saturday March 19, and while the 7 p.m. concert is sold out, a second performance has been added at 9 p.m.
“My family has been involved with SCERA for a long time,” Osmond says in a press release, “and that includes me. My father and uncles gave the very first performance in the SCERA Shell more than 20 years ago to a standing-room-only crowd. I’ve performed many times as an emcee, host, actor and performer. A personal highlight was opening at the Shell for Take 6, one of my favorite groups.” |
Osmond’s first inspirational album, “Road Less Traveled,” distributed through Deseret Book and Shadow Mountain last year, stayed at No. 1 on their sales for several months.
“It has kind of a contemporary Christian sound,” he explains, “and I’ll be singing several songs from the album.”
Reserved-seat tickets are available for $10 for adults and $8 for children (age 3-11), seniors (65+) and students (w/ID). They can be purchased from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. weekdays and Saturdays from noon - 6 p.m. at the main office of the SCERA Center, 745 South State, Orem, by calling (801) 225-ARTS, online at www.scera.org, or at the door 30 minutes prior to the concert.
