January 4, 1999 Monday	Famous Families, a documentary featuring the Osmond Family was aired on the Fox Family Channel.

January 7, 1999 Thursday	Marie was featured in Allure Magazine. There was a short article and a couple of pictures emoting a make-over she had done with her hair blown straight and close to her face.

January 9, 1999 Saturday	MTV hosted a tribute to all boy singing groups which aired on this date. The show included an early pioneer segment which featured the Osmond Brothers.

January 9, 1999 Saturday	Jimmy was honored as one of the Ten Outstanding Americans at banquet in Washington, D.C.

January 9, 1999 Saturday	The Osmond Brothers returned today after spending nine days on their first cruise of the year.

January 13, 1999 Wednesday	Donny was featured in a show called Video Collection which was aired on VH-1.

January 15, 1999 Friday	The Osmond Brothers performed at the largest Home Building Exposition in the United States. It was held at the Reunion Arena in Dallas, Texas. Texas governor, George W. Bush delivered the keynote address during the Grand Opening ceremonies.

January 16, 1999 Saturday	Marie was on QVC promoting her dolls.

January 20, 1999 Wednesday	It was announced on the Osmond Network that Marie and Brian were expecting their seventh child.

January 28, 1999 Thursday	Alan did an interview with Sam Erpsamer on WIMI radio in Ironwood, Michigan regarding his children’s books and dealing with MS.

January 29, 1999 Friday	Alan did an interview with Barry McGuire and Valerie on KDUK radio in Eugene, Oregon regarding his children’s books and dealing with MS.

January 30, 1999 Saturday	Donny made two appearances in the History Channel’s, The Great American History Quiz which was aired on this date.

February 1999	Marie and some of her dolls were featured in a 2-page article in Doll Reader Magazine.

February 1, 1999 Monday	Alan did an interview with Michael John for WAOE radio in Rice Lake, Wisconsin regarding his children’s books and dealing with MS. Later than afternoon, he did another interview with Kelly Terranova for WGMD radio in Rehobeth Beach, Delaware.

February 3, 1999 Wednesday	Alan did an interview with Patty Davis for WVMI radio in Biloxi, Mississippi regarding his children’s books and dealing with MS.

February 4 - February 10, 1999	Merrill and his family left for London, England.

February 5, 1999 Friday	Alan was scheduled to an interview with Amy and Big Al on KMGZ radio in Lawton, Oklahoma regarding his children’s books and dealing with MS.

February 5 – February 6, 1999	Merrill taped two shows in London, England for Noel’s House Party. He taped a short segment on Friday and a live segment on Saturday night. Two contest winners were picked to have dinner with Merrill on Saturday night and they also attended the live taping after dinner.

February 7, 1999 Sunday	Merrill and his son, Justin held a fireside at the Watford Stake Center in London, England. Steven, Wayne’s son was also able to attend. Justin and Steven are serving their missions in England.

February 8, 1999 Monday	Alan did an interview with Cooper & Tobin at the WPDH radio station in Phoughkeepsie, New York regarding his children’s books and dealing with MS.

February 8, 1999 Monday	According to a business wire, Marie was scheduled to attend the premiere of Kevin Costner’s newest movie, A Message In A Bottle. The premiere was shown at the Mann’s Village Theater in Westwood, California.

February 8, 1999 Monday	Merrill attended a fan get together in London, England. Afterwards, Merrill and Mary and the rest of the family attended an evening performance of Phantom of the Opera.

February 9, 1999 Tuesday	Alan did an interview with Amy and Big Al for the KMGZ radio station in Lawton, Oklahoma regarding his children’s books and dealing with MS.

February 9, 1999 Tuesday	Merrill’s family left London this morning and headed for Manchester. Justin retraced some of his steps from his mission for him and was able to share with them some of the places he had lived and visited while he was on his mission. Later that evening, Merrill, Mary, and Justin were able to do some Temple work at the Temple in Manchester and them met with some of Justin’s friends. Afterwards, they headed for Liverpool and stayed at the Britannia Adelphia Hotel.

February 10, 1999 Wednesday	Alan did an interview with Al Gardner for WBT radio in Charlotte, North Carolina regarding his children’s books and dealing with MS.

February 10, 1999 Wednesday	Stevie Wonder taped The Donny & Marie Show and was the only guest on the show. Donny was extremely excited about having Stevie on the show and said he had been waiting for this day all of his life.

February 10, 1999 Wednesday	Merrill and his family arrived in Utah after their UK trip. He got home really late after having to drive home in a snow storm.

February 11, 1999 Thursday	Alan did an interview with Dennis Lee at WHMP radio in North Hampton, NC regarding his children’s books and dealing with MS.

February 11, 1999 Thursday	Alan’s son and daughter in law, Michael and Beka participated in a discussion in the Osmond Network’s Family Chat room regarding being newly married and having a new baby.

February 12, 1999 Friday	Alan did an interview for the Bill Moran Show (which is syndicated) in Colorado Springs, Colorado regarding his children’s books and dealing with MS.

February 14, 1999 Sunday	Donny was featured on Where Are They Now which aired on this date.

February 17, 1999 Wednesday	Alan did an interview with Simon Rose and Scott Baker at KFRU radio in Columbia, Missouri regarding his children’s books and dealing with MS.

February 23, 1999 Tuesday	According to a business wire press release, Donny attended the Annual Pre-Grammy Party hosted by Arista Records at the Beverly Hills Hotel in California.

March 1999	Donny was featured in a small write up and photo in US Magazine. The photo was taken at the Los Angeles Tree Lighting ceremony and showed him playfully punching Barney.

March 4, 1999 Thursday	Alan son, Doug celebrated his 21st birthday while serving his mission in South Africa.

March 7, 1999 Sunday	Donny and Marie were featured in VH-1’s Where Are They Now? Teen Idols.

March 10, 1999 Wednesday	The Osmond Network announced that Alan’s son, Doug would be returning from his mission in South Africa in August.

March 11, 1999 Thursday	According to the Osmond Network, the Osmond Family Theater opened for the spring season in Branson, Missouri.

March 13 - March 14, 1999	Marie was on QVC promoting her dolls.

March 16, 1999 Tuesday	Radio Disney released a new CD called Radio Disney Kid Jams. Donny is featured singing I’ll Make A Man Out of You.

March 17, 1999 Wednesday	According to the Osmond Network, The Donny & Marie Show was nominated for three Daytime Emmy Awards last week. The show was nominated in the categories of Makeup, Hairstyling, and Lighting Direction.

March 19, 1999 Friday	Carol Mikita, with KSL-TV did a story about the prophet and the dedication of the Madrid, Spain Temple. In connection with that project, she notified Alan that his son David and David’s companion were selected to represent a day in the life of a missionary.

March 24, 1999 Wednesday	The Osmond Network announced that the final contract negotiations were being processed for a new tour of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. The Second Generation will once again be playing Joseph’s brothers. It was unknown at this time as to who would be playing Joseph and the narrator, but it would not be one of the Second Generation Osmonds. Once again, this production would be produced b the Troika Group.

March 27, 1999 Saturday	A photo of Donny attending Elton John’s post-Oscar party was in People Magazine.

March 29, 1999 Monday	According to a San Francisco newspaper, Marie received an award for the musical category of Principal Performance Female in Touring Productions. The award was presented at the 22nd Annual Bay Area Theater Critics Circle.

April 3, 1999 Saturday	Alan signed his children’s books in the Deseret Book store located at the ZCMI mall in downtown Salt Lake City.

April 4, 1999 Sunday	KSL’s special, The Saints In Spain aired between the LDS conference sessions. The special was about the dedication of the new LDS Temple. During the special, David and his companion were interviewed. Brian and Marie were also at the dedication as Brian was one of the first missionaries to serve in Spain.

April 6, 1999 Tuesday	Donny taped two Donny & Marie shows by himself due to Marie being out with the flu.

April 6, 1999 Tuesday	According to the Osmond Network, Alan’s son, Scott was accepted into BYU. He was scheduled to start in the Fall semester in order for him to complete the summer tour of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.

April 6, 1999 Tuesday	Marie was featured in Woman’s World Magazine in an article entitled 24 Hours Stress Makeovers.

April 7, 1999 Wednesday	The Osmond Brothers taped the Donny & Marie Show in Los Angeles, California. The show was scheduled to air on May 17, 1999. While they were taping the show, they also did an interview for Access Hollywood. Also, while they were in L.A. they did an interview for VH-1’s Behind the Scenes.

April 9, 1999 Friday	Olive was hospitalized in the Mount Pleasant, Utah hospital on this date for high blood pressure and to get her blood sugar under control.

April 10, 1999 Saturday	The Osmond Network announced that Patrick Cassidy would be playing the starring role of Joseph in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and Debbie Gibson would be playing the narrator.

April 11, 1999 Sunday	Alan’s son, Nathan spoke at the Provo Sesquicentennial Commemorative Service in the Marriott Center at BYU in Provo, Utah. The guest speaker was President Thomas S. Monson. Also in participation was a Children’s Choir of 2000 members and the Utah Valley Symphony, combined High School orchestras and the Osmonds Second Generation. This was not a fan event, but a special service for high school students. The Second Generation sang the National Anthem.

April 12, 1999 Monday	An article in InStyle Magazine featured Marie and her daughter, Brianna.

April 13, 1999 Tuesday	Olive was released from the hospital on this date.

April 13, 1999 Tuesday	According to the Osmond Network, Donny was featured in Vanity Fair with a question and answer section.

April 15, 1999 Thursday	Virgin Atlantic was using the original recording of Crazy Horses in a television advertisement in England. According to a description of the advertisement by Osmond fan Mandy Ripley, it depicts a man riding a motorcycle charging across a wasteland. He takes a flying leap off the top of the hill into a rainbow and the caption reads: Some say why…others say why not? At that point, the Virgin Atlantic logo comes up.

April 15, 1999 Thursday	Donny was featured in an article in the Chicago Sun Times. In the article it stated that Donny had been diagnosed with a social disorder. Donny explained that he is a Type A personality who must have perfection. While Donny was in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat he started having panic attacks. He knew the attacks were very serious when he couldn’t go on stage one night in Minnesota. They had to use his understudy. Donny stated that the mind-numbing stress of opening Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat in Chicago is what tipped the scales. He was told again and again that Chicago was an important city. If the show didn’t work well there, it would not work anywhere. Donny stated he put himself under an enormous amount of pressure during its 17-month run. At the end of the run, Donny’s wife, Debbie would come backstage and tell him to just go out there and do an average night, you don’t have to be perfect. Donny stated that is when he started enjoying himself again.

April 16, 1999 Friday	Donny participated in the Toyota Pro/Celebrity Grand Prix in Long Beach, California. He had a few bumps in the road during the qualifying round, but managed to pull in a qualifying time that put him in second place and kept him in the front row for tomorrow’s race.

April 17, 1999 Saturday	Donny raced in the Toyota Pro/Celebrity Grand Prix in Long Beach, California. The race was 10 laps and 18.5 miles long. However, Donny was unable to complete the race because his car crashed and flipped over. Donny was not injured.

April 17, 1999 Saturday	The doll signing that Marie was scheduled to do at the Disney Gallery in Anaheim, California today was cancelled.

April 23 - April 25, 1999	The Donny & Marie Show was taped in Las Vegas, Nevada at the MGM Grand Hotel.

April 25, 1999 Sunday	ESPN showed the Toyota Pro/Celebrity Grand Prix race in Long Beach, California in its entirety.

May 1999	Donny was in the Faces and Places section of US Magazine being “strangled” by Ben Stiller.

May 4, 1999 Tuesday	Donny and Marie did a live interview from Los Angeles for the Fox News in Salt Lake City, Utah. The interview aired on this date. They were also featured in an interview on Access Hollywood which aired on this date. The interview had been taped at a previous time.

May 5, 1999 Wednesday	Marie was a presenter on 34th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards.

May 10, 1999 Monday	Marie was featured in an article in First Magazine. The article was about hobbies and stress reduction and Marie discussed doll designing and collecting. The article also featured a picture of Marie with her Baby Snow White doll.

May 15, 1999 Saturday	Donny made an appearance on Mad-TV which aired on FOX-TV on this date.

May 15, 1999 Saturday	An announcement was made on the Osmond Network that Alan’s son Michael and his wife Beka, were expecting their second child in September.

May 15, 1999 Saturday	Marie was at the Mall of America in Bloomington, Minnesota for the Grand Opening of Department 56’s first retail store. In commemoration of this event, Department 56 introduced the latest piece in their North Pole Series Collection, Marie’s Doll Museum. Also to celebrate the event, Marie created an exclusive Department 56 doll, Adora Belle North Pole.

May 17, 1999 Monday	The Osmond Brothers were guests on the Donny & Marie Show which aired on this date.

May 21, 1999 Friday	Donny and Marie were scheduled to present an award at the Daytime Emmy Awards; however, Donny presented the award since Marie was on doctor’s orders for bed rest.

May 21 - May 22, 1999	Marie was scheduled to be on QVC promoting her dolls for the first Collector’s Day ever held in May; however due to her pregnancy she was put on bed rest by her doctor and was unable to make it. Marie’s assistant, Lisa Hatch filled in for her.

May 26, 1999 Wednesday	Donny and Marie did an interview for Sony/Columbia Pictures.

May 29, 1999 Saturday	Marie was scheduled to do a doll signing at Disneyland at Gepetto’s Doll and Teddy Bear Festival at Gepetto’s Toys and Gifts in Fantasyland. She was scheduled to sign her Baby Cinderella doll.

June 1999	Marie was featured in Doll Magazine sculpting one of her dolls.

June 1, 1999 Tuesday	Donny did an interview by phone for Beyond the Cover to promote his book. He also did an interview for a national newspaper to be put in bookstores Book Pages Meet The Author feature. He did these interviews in Los Angeles, California.

June 5 - June 6, 1999	Marie co-hosted the Children’s Miracle Network Telethon at Disney World in Orlando, Florida.

June 7 - June 17, 1999	Merrill’s son, Justin and Mark Wooten were scheduled to host an International Soccer Tournament and Tour of England and Scotland.

June 9, 1998 Wednesday	Donny’s book, Life Is Just What You Make It was released on this date.

June 9 - June 12, 1999	The Donny Osmond International Get Together was scheduled for these dates in Culver City, California.

June 17, 1999 Tuesday	Donny was still in New York. At 7:00 am he did a live radio interview on WPLJ-FM’s Scott and Todd In The Morning Show. At 8:00 am he did an interview on CBS’s This Morning Show. At 9:30 am he taped an interview for the Fox News Channel to air on Fox on Friends. At 9:45 am they showed a taped interview from Donny on Fox News. At 11:00 am, he did a live radio interview for WOR-AM’s Joan Hamburg Show. At 2:00 pm, Donny attended the National Teleprint Conference. At 4:00 pm he did an interview for Time Magazine. At 6:00 pm, he taped an interview for Comedy Central’s Daily Show and at 7:00 pm, Donny did a book signing at Barnes and Noble bookstore in New York City, New York.

June 16, 1999 Wednesday	Donny was still in New York. At 8:15 am, he did a live interview for WNYW-TV’s Good Day New York show. At 2:00 pm he did an interview for the National Teleprint Conferece.

June 17, 1999 Thursday	Donny was in Los Angeles, California. At 8:00 am, Donny did a live interview for KTTV-TV and at 5:00 pm, he taped an interview for ABC’s Politically Incorrect. Donny did a book signing at Vroman’s bookstore in Pasadena, California at 7:00 pm.

June 18, 1999 Friday	Donny was still in Los Angeles, California. At 6:30 pm he did an interview with CBS’s TV show, Late, Late Show with Craig Kilburn. Donny did a book signing at the Virgin Megastore in West Hollywood, California at 7:00 pm.

June 21, 1999 Monday	Donny did a book signing at the BYU Bookstore at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah.

June 22, 1999 Tuesday	Donny did a book signing at Deseret Books in the ZCMI Mall in downtown Salt Lake City, Utah from 12:00 until 2:00. Later that evening, he did another book signing at Media Play in the Family Center in Orem, Utah.

June 22, 1999 Tuesday	The Osmond Network announced that Marie had gone into the hospital over the weekend, but was sent home Monday night. She had not had her baby yet.

At 6:00 pm, Donny did a book signing in the Rotunda of the Twin Cities Mall of America hosted by Barnes and Noble. At 7:30 pm, Donny taped an interview for KMSP-TV’s, Dish With CJ to be aired at a later date. At 8:30 pm, he did an interview with the Minneapolis Star Tribune Interview Run to be published at a later date. At 11:00 pm, he did a live interview with WCCO-AM’s Patty Patterson Show.

June 25, 1999 Friday	Donny’s book as listed at #25 on the New York Times Best Seller List for Non-Fiction publications.

June 25 - July 2, 1999	Donny’s book, was featured in a special double issue of Entertainment Weekly magazine in a short review. They gave Donny’s book a B.

June 26, 1999 Saturday	Donny was still in Minneapolis, Minnesota. At 10:00 am, he taped an interview for KARE-TV’s Kare 11 Saturday Show. At 1:00 pm he did a book signing at Waldenbooks in the Maplewood Mall in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

June 28, 1999 Monday	Donny did a book signing at Waldenbooks in Chicago, Illinois at 7:00 pm.

June 29, 1999 Tuesday	Donny did a book signing at Borders Books and Music in Chicago, Illinois at 12:00 pm.

July 1, 1999 Thursday	Nathan (Alan’s son) produced a new CD entitled Best of Freedom Fest containing three sons written by Alan, and performances by Donny and Marie, The Osmond Brothers, and other artists. The CD was made available through the Osmond Network Store.

July 3, 1999 Saturday	Donny’s book was #2 on the Los Angeles Times Best Seller List for Non-Fiction Hard-cover List.

July 3, 1999 Saturday	A series of books and plush toys designed by Jimmy was announced for Gund. The series is to include storybooks with Christian themes involving Hummy Bear. Hummy Bear is in different shades of brown and is soft and cuddly.

July 5, 1999 Monday	There was a small photo in People Magazine which featured Marie, Brian, and his parents in the In-Law Feature section.

July 6, 1999 Tuesday	Matthew R. Blosil was born to Marie and Brian on this date at 2:00 am. He weighed 8lbs and 4 ounces and was 20 inches long.

July 8, 1999 Thursday	Donny participated in a live chat room hosted by WKRN. So many people logged into the chat, the computer server crashed.

July 8, 1999 Thursday	MTV featured claymations of Donny and Marie on their Celebrity Deathmatch show. In the show, Donny and Marie end up beheading one another in a match there were supposed to be in with Julia and Eric Roberts.

July 9, 1999 Friday	Donny’s book, Life Is Just What You Make It was featured in a glowing review in the Wall Street Journal.

July 10, 1999 Saturday	Donny was featured on Uncut-A Celebrity Profile series in New Zealand.

July 11, 1999 Sunday	The Osmond Family was featured on Access Hollywood.

July 12 - July 16, 1999	Donny and Marie taped Hollywood Squares game show which aired on TV this week.

July 12 - July 19, 1999	The Osmond Brothers performed on an Alaskan cruise.

July 13, 1999 Tuesday	Star Magazine featured an article on Donny’s book, Life Is Just What You Make It. The article included the introductory chapter in the book and photos were included.

July 13, 1999 Tuesday	Donny was featured in this week’s issue of Soap Opera’s Weekly Digest in a small article accompanied by a photo.

July 17 – July 23, 1999	Donny was featured on the cover of Canada’s TV Guide in an article entitled, Everybody’s Favorite Osmond Brother. In the article, Donny answers some questions about his social phobia and several photos were also featured.

July 19, 1999 Monday	Donny and Marie were part of the answers in People Magazine’s Puzzler section. There was also a small photo.

July 21, 1999 Wednesday	According to America Online, the People Magazine poll for the 50 Most Beautiful People, Donny was #1 and Marie was entered at #9.

July 26, 1999 Monday	Donny was a guest on the Daily Show which aired on this date.

July 26, 1999 Monday	Filming began in England for the Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat video.

July 27, 1999 Tuesday	Donny Osmond’s International Network was officially closed.

July 31, 1999 Saturday	Donny and Marie appeared on Four Freshmen: 50 Years To Finish which aired on KBYU in Provo, Utah. Current and former members of the Four Freshmen met for a reunion concert at Walt Disney World. Tributes were made by Dick Clark, Regis Philbin, and Donny and Marie.

August 6, 1999 Friday	People Magazine’s 50 Most Beautiful People Poll ended today. Donny got 22% of the votes (559 votes) for first place. Marie placed 4th with 104 votes.

August 12, 1999 Thursday	Jay arrived in the UK. Merrill’s flight was cancelled due to the tornado in Salt Lake. Jay and Jimmy did a live radio interview for BBC Radio 5 Live in a studio in the UK, and Merrill participated by phone from Salt Lake City, Utah.

August 13, 1999 Friday	Merrill arrived in the UK at 12:30 pm. They were scheduled to do a more pre-recorded interviews that would air later that day and a photo shoot around London.

August 12 - August 15, 1999	The Second Generation was in Omaha, Nebraska at the Orpheum for the traveling tour of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.

August 14, 1999 Saturday	The Osmond Brothers attended a fan convention in London. It was attended by 500 people. UK TV personality, Shane Richie was there to help MC the event and a great time was had by all. The event was held at the Hanover Grand in Central London.

August 16, 1999 Monday	The Osmond Brothers visited Madam Tussards and Jay took Jason to the Planetarium. While in England, Merrill and Jimmy checked out a shop called Spymasters where they sell high tech surveillance equipment.

August 17, 1999 Tuesday	Merrill left Britain on TWA flight 723 at 3:15 pm from Gatwick.

August 17 - August 22, 1999	The Second Generation was in San Diego, California at the San Diego Civic Theatre for the traveling tour of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.

August 18, 1999 Wednesday	Wayne left Britain to come back to Utah.

August 19, 1999 Thursday	Jay was scheduled to leave Britain today. He wanted to stop and do some sightseeing before he headed home.

August 20 - August 22, 1999	Merrill left for Mexico to participate in some firesides. On Saturday, he did a fireside at Benemerito for students and the faculty in the morning and another fireside at the Aragon Chapel on the Temple grounds in the evening. On Sunday, he did another fireside at the Benemerito Stake Center in the afternoon, and another one at the Churubusco Stake Center in the evening.

August 22, 1999 Sunday	Donny and Marie were featured in the hour long Behind the Music show on VH-1. The show was dedicated to them.

August 22, 1999 Sunday	Wayne’s son, Steven returned from his mission in England. His homecoming was today in Bountiful.

The Osmonds spoke about how they’ve maintained a strong marriage despite Alan’s Multiple Sclerosis and a busy family schedule. Tickets for the event sold for $36.00 each.

The event was to honor actor Ernest Borgnine and scheduled to be at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel at 6:00 pm. Actor Tom Hanks was the Honorary Event Chairman. The event was held hoping to raise awareness and encourage public support for the groundbreaking construction of the National World War II Memorial in Washington, D.C.

December 9, 1999 Thursday	An article appeared in the San Francisco Chronicle about sculptor, Kahn Gasimov, sculpting Donny’s head. He was hired from London’s Madame Tussauds by the San Francisco Wax Museum which is building a big new home at Fisherman’s Wharf. The museum will feature several new creations by Kahn, such as Donny and Marie, Leonardo Di Caprio and Kate Winslet featured in the movie, Titanic among others. He was working on Donny’s clay head, delicately shaping the ears with a thin wooden tool. Kahn had some close-up photos taken of both Donny and Marie taken at a recent session on the Los Angeles set of the Donny & Marie show. When the clay sculpture is complete – a process that will take approximately two to three months – Kahn will make a mold of it in plaster or silicon. Then he will pour hot beeswax, tinted with pigment to match the skin color into the mold.

December 10, 1999 Friday	Nathan’s appearance on the TV game show, The Price Is Right was aired on this date. Nathan overbid on the item he needed to bid on, and therefore was not able to be one of the contestants. He did, however, win several consolation prizes.

December 13, 1999 Monday	The Osmond Brothers were in Los Angeles, California to tape The Donny & Marie Show. The show included all of the siblings and Donny arranged for his parents to come to LA for a surprise. From all accounts, the surprise went well and there was not a dry eye in the house. The show is scheduled to air on December 24, 1999.
